Pack 16 heads to Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation!

Scouts from all dens loaded their gear and headed towards Mount Allamuchy for a weekend of camping.  With the sun barely peering over the horizon, they set off towards their destination – the Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation.

Our scouts braved the rain and cold weather, and bonded over a nature hike, which boosted their resolve when they had to cross an overflowing creek.  They tested their skills and aim with archery and firing BB guns.  These scouts discovered wild life, learned about fungi, sang camp fire songs, and roared with laughter over jokes and skits performed next to an equally roaring camp fire.

The scouts also enjoyed juicy burgers, mouthwatering chili with sweet cornbread, savory jambalaya, delightful french toast casserole, steaming cups of hot chocolate, and of course, the classic s’mores around the camp fire.
